It is apparent from reviews here and other websites that Consumer Health Benfits Association a. k.a. CHBA with a website of NBCHealth.com is not a reputable company. Consumer Reports has a F rating for them for lack of response to a handful of complaints. If everyone here and other websites would also take a moment to report their experiences to the BBB it may help consumers behind us avoid dealings with this outfit.

I used a Visa to purchase and they are attempting to recoup my $279.85 I was charged. CHBA is NOT insurance and as far as I can tell nothing more than a sham with false claims. I was told I could use and keep my current doctor however he has not negotiated any discounts with their claimed association and there is no 30% reduction in cost. I can nominate them to participate but that's not going to happen. The BBB and government agencies should oversee companies making claims to assist with health savings even if they aren't insurance. Hope others see and recognize this company for what it is before giving them money. It's cheap and we would all like affordable health insurance but we aren't there yet and until them stay away from companies like CHBA who prey on those who can't afford the unreasonable cost to protect our families in time of dire need.
