This past weekend, I purchased some batteries from Walgreen's only to find out that they weren't needed. I never opened the package and kept my receipt.

Yesterday, which was well within the 30 day limit to do a return or exchange WITH a receipt, I took the batteries back to a Walgreen's at a different location which is clearly stated on the receipt.

Low and behold, they gave me a refund without any problems!!

No questions asked and she was very polite during the transaction.
The moral to the story is to keep your receipts and know the store policies for returns or exchanges.

Then you won't have to come to this site whining about how the given store told you no because you didn't follow the store's policies and how THEY were wrong in how they treated you.

Good review. I find, returing anything at anytime, to any store here in our beautiful state, is always a piece of cake!

    Very friendly place to live.

    Thank you

why didn't you keep the batteries? surely you'll need more in the future right?

I kid, I kid. nice review, as usual, zzrokk.

    King: Valid question.
Lets just say that my job "supplies" them.

It's amazing, you follow store policy and you get what you want! It's such a novel concept, who would have thought it could only be so easy, lol

I've returned a cellphone to different Walgreens in the past, no problem as long as I had the receipt for it.

ZZ...returning batteries? LOL...why? Just because you didn't need them now, doesn't mean you're not gonna need them later. You should have just kept them.

Very good advice Zz. Now if only everyone would follow it.

    zzrokk (11/03/2009)
DB, try to keep up. Read my earlier comment.
YT, I am still in shock!

    DebtorBasher (11/03/2009)
Then why did you buy them in the first place? Surely, you're not 'borrowing and forgetting to put back' from the Man, are you? *Making more space at the bottom of ZZ's rap sheet for future use*

    zzrokk (11/03/2009)
I forgot that I had some already.
    Zip it!!!

    DebtorBasher (11/03/2009)
BUT...my point is...if you get them from work WHY would you BUY them? It doesn't matter if you already had some or not! *Whacking ZZ up the side of his hard head*

    zzrokk (11/03/2009)
    Forget it DB.
Too much is better than not enough, okay Sherlock?

    DebtorBasher (11/03/2009)
Yeah...I am RIGHT, just as I thought.
    I still love you though.

ZZ, I could have used those batteries

i have always said, if one has a receipt, and real expectations, they often are accomodated.

    great review double Z.

    very helpful.

A receipt and pleasant attitude does wonders. I made a $40 purchase at our local target, the item was advertised the following week for $12 less, went in with a smile and a reciept and promptly refunded the difference with a smile and have a great day.

Well I would have got a refund receipt or no receipt. Probably scored a free diet coke for my troubles. Is this the same walgreens of the famed "Don't you 'sass' me! - BRUT COLOGNE" incident?

ZZ my friend this is definitely not one of your better efforts but it's still better than most reviews posted on here. You got my 'VH' vote.

    zzrokk (11/03/2009)
I had to "dumb down" my reviews to get them posted and yes it was the same store.

If zz wouldn’t bang her, she must be one ugly beast.

Those were in my hoe-ish days, I am much choosier now. Lookwise at least.
