If your considering purchasing a hot tub from Oasis Spas http://www.spasbyoasis.com/ also doing business as Northern Lakes Spas http://www.buyhottubsonlineusa.com/ you should read my experience first:
I purchased a $4k hot tub from them towards the end of 2008. Within the first few months of usage, two different jets kept falling out of the wall fitting.
With a very slow response time, the company did eventually send replacement jets.
At about the 6 month mark after using the spa I noticed a puddle of water forming on my patio. It was obvious that the spa had developed a leak. Oasis Spas only offered one piece of advice, to open the cabinet on the equipment side to see if thats where the spa was leaking. I did this and let them know that the pump etc was fine - no leaks in that area.
I was told by Oasis Spas to go ahead and locate a spa repair company for this repair. I had numerous spa repair companies give me a quote, and they came in around $70 to $90 an hour. I was lucky enough to find a local spa technican willing to work on my spa as a side job (as long as I helped).
We had to drain the spa, tilt it onto its side, remove the bottom cover, lift the spa onto jacks, fill the spa back up, hook up the spa and run it - then slide underneath the spa to find the leak. We identified a location with water dripping, removed the foam insulation from that area to verify the exact leaky jet. Then after we got the spa back down from the jacks, the technician repaired the leaky jet and left.
The next day I noticed a smaller puddle forming again on the patio. It was obvious now that there was more than one leaking point under the spa. The spa technican came back out two weeks later and we went through the whole process again. This time we found THREE more spots where the spa was leaking.
