USA Express moving Complaint - Beware of this company

NEW JERSEY -- I am NOT signning with this company, because:
1. Their "senior relocation specialist" Laila Petagno refuses to communicate with me via e-mail. She would only talk to me on the phone. When I asked her what is wrong with communicating via e-mail, she stopped responding/calling.
2. They wouldn't provide me with an in-house quote and put it in writing.
3. They refuse to tell me if they charge extra for stairs, elevator and long-carry.
4. They wouldn't specify if they charge for blankets and reusable covers.
Any company who acts like this, sounds like a crook to me. It's too suspicious.

In response to Alex87. Please know that there are a lot of moving companies with USA or US Movers in their name. Most of them are brokers from NY or FL. We DO NOT and have NEVER had a person by the name of Laila Petagno! All our information has the appropriate DOT and Lisense numbers. If you have the phone number of the representative you spoke to, I would be more than happy to research and make sure you have the correct mover. Again....this is not our company! We have never scheduled or completed a move without a signed contract prior to the relocation. I too would be concerned about a company unwilling to provide an in-house estimate if requested and especially if they will not provide you with a written price confirmation. As a lisensed mover, we are required to provide you with a written Order for Service/Estimated Cost of services prior to your move. This is to be signed and returned to the company in advance of the move itself. The contract you received also should detail out any and all charges that you could incur during your move process such as stairs, long-carry or packing. In closing, your instinct and hesitation, Alex, was absolutely warrented! I can assure you that we ALWAYS provide our price quotes in writing and have never completed a move without a written signed contract. Please be sure to research what company this note really should have been referenced to! This is absolutely not us! Thank you! USA EXPRESS MOVING & STORAGE

It's beyond suspicious. It's down right scary. Well at least you now know, what type of service to expect, if you had chosen them. You did the right thing, not giving them your business. We used Allied, when we moved across country, and it went very well. No problems, nothing broken, nothing missing. The price they gave us, is the price we paid after delivery. Now it was very costly, but what isn't these days. At least we received what we paid for.
