MIDLAND, MICHIGAN -- We have had a loan with Citi Financial for over 3 years now and always paid on time in fact a lot of times early and more than than ask for. My husband was diaganoised with cancer in January this year and we have gone thru hell and back again. He has lost a lot of work and our savings is gone due to medical bills and travel to and from the you of m hospital. He was just getting back to work after surgery and we thought we might be a few days late on our loan so we called the local Citi office and Derrick who was so unproffessional and young. Suggusted another loan he said he could give us 500.00 at 24.99 % well were not stupid no way would we buy into that....well our payment is due on the 17th and last night the calls started from Derrick wondering where our payment was I said don't we have a 10 day grace period he replied ya but did you mail the payment....he went on and on it was our son's birthday today and I'm having this miserable phone call on what was suppose to be a happy day....did not need this at all.....so we hurried the payment in and he would not even look at me or my husband....what a awlful place to do business with..were paying off this loan asap......unreal.

Sorry for your husband's health situation, and I wish the two of you the best. That being said, there is no grace period on consumer loans in regards to payment; the grace period is only the time before a late charge is assessed. This doesn't excuse the actions of the rep, but does give them the right to contact you for payment.
