In August 2004, I puchase a Whirlpool water heater at Lowes. 12 yr warranty and lifetime warranty on some parts. I called Lowes, was told to call Whirlpool, called Whirpool and was given an authorization for repairs and was told to call any licensed plumber and that they would do the repair and Whirpool would pay them.

I live in the Ft Lauderdale area. There is not a single plumber or repair peron from Palm Beach County down to the Florida Keys that will do any warranty work for Whirlpool. Whirlpool even told me that there is no one in the area. If this is the case, they have no right to sell this product in an unsupported area. I have a brand new water heater with a great warranty and the manufacturer "Whirlpool" cannot supply the warranty support. Thank god Lowes is now realizing that they are getting burnt by Whirlpool also and they have decided to come to my house and completely replace the water heater.

3 days with no hot water is no way to treat a customer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
