It's Tuesday, 12/28/10, at about 830PM and an Erie Construction sales person was just at my house in Kettering Ohio trying to cold call for attic insulation. I told the sales person I wasn't interested and didn't need attic insulation. Instead of giving me a card and leaving; he wanted to debate the validity of my claim, wanting to know how much insulation, have I ever even been in the attic to check, etc. It didn't take me long to get a fix on this guy, obnoxious, over bearing and pushy...What kind of legit sales practice is it to solicit door to door at night. Anyway, I told him we were done here and to leave. Unfortunately for him he wanted to argue the point and refused to go until I threatened to call the police on him for trespassing. The local cops came out and told me that they had other complaints on a group of 4 of them canvasing the neighborhood. Based on his performance I would never recommend anyone to do business with this company. How dare someone try to intimidate or bully me at my own home. A little research revealed that these guys are probably working out of an Erie office at 3520 Sudachi Dr. in Vandalia Ohio.

Pistol on the hip and a large dog usually deters any conversation when I answer the door.

If you had let him in the house to check your insulation, you'd have found all your jewelry gone after he left. This is a fairly common scheme.
