Wholesale Furniture Brokers Complaint - Caveat Emptor Wholesale Furniture Brokers - Furniture

Complaint
Review by skiergirl on 2011-02-04
Found their website. Good looking furniture and lots of good customer reviews. Ordered a platform bed to see how it went before ordering more. Good thing!
After sitting for weeks in terminals in California and British Columbia, it was finally delivered - 3 months later. I'd forgotten what it looked like! Anyway, made the delivery guys wait while I checked it. Didn't seem right. There were drawers with it. Accepted the shipment and moved stuff to assemble the bed. I'm 60 and single so lots of work. Guess what? Wrong f---ing bed! So, I blast off an email and a gal in shipping got right on an order for the correct bed. Delivered 2 weeks later (much better) but has the wrong legs.
I've demanded a refund. They've got my money, but I have 2 beds. We'll see.
WTF do you think about that!? Anyone know if I can hold their stuff till my $$ is returned?

Moved From Other Review: Trying to get a remedy for a problem from Wholesale Furniture Brokers is a problem.

The name Wholesale Furniture Brokers is just what it says - they are brokers - so if you have a problem the furniture company has to be dealt with. I posted earlier about the bed I ordered that took 3 months to come. It was the wrong model. They sent a replacement bed that had the wrong legs. I notified them of the issue and after another month (4 months now - is that reasonable? NO) spoke to a person in management.

Had to send pictures of wrong parts, then had to call furniture company. They advised the legs are on back order for 4-6 weeks. That means that it will be 5 1/2 - 6 months before I have the bed. That's if the parts are correct.

Demanded a refund more than a month ago but it hasn't even been acknowledged. Asked twice more last week but again hasn't been acknowledged. I could have bought a bed anywhere else and had it already.

I sent a complaint through the British Columbia Consumer Information site and I have also contacted the Better Business Bureau of British Columbia and am waiting for those complaints to get to Wholesale Furniture Brokers. They are NOT a member of the BBB and that might tell you something.

Because Wholesale Furniture Brokers is an online store it is hard to deal with. I have furniture boxes taking up space in my living room - there is no where else to put them in my small place. I have spent hours trying to resolve the problems and dealing with this company with no resolution in site. Please consider this and the other problems posted at online sites about Wholesale Furniture Brokers before you purchase from them.

Also, note that there are only positive customer comments on their site and note that there is no where to post a comment. It's obvious they choose what they want to post.
Beware.
