Procter & Gamble Complaint - Sooo Disappointed! - Nice and Easy Foam

Nice and Easy Foam - Complaint
Review by charshank on 2011-02-24
Recently, I purchased Nice and Easy Foam hair color. FOr the last 10 years I have been coloring my hair every couple of months because of premature gray hair. I have usually been very satisfied with the nice and easy line. However.... This product was completely unsatisfactory! I regret ever seeing and buying it at the store! The chemicals were so overbearing, I couldn't breathe and tears spilled out of my eyes along with mucus from my nose. The foam is NOT user friendly at all! The gloves did NOT fit. My hands and hairline are tattooed with the color I only wanted in my hair. After much scrubbing, the color remains.. in places I do not want it to be. How embarrasssing! I have to work tomorrow!
As of now Clairol, I am deeply dissatisfied with your product and plan to tell my friends who color, NOT to by this product. I recommend taking it off the line immediately.

I get my hair professionally colored and I get some color along my scalp line. It happens, and no it doesn't come off easy. You need to use rubbing alcohol. My stylist has this cream that takes it off easily. It's not a problem with the color, it's who's putting it on.

Good review! I wondered about this new product.

Ytropious, it sounds like the OP has been coloring her own hair for years, with no previous problems.

OP, I found these methods on the internet. Hopefully they will help you remove the hair color:

Take some toothpaste and rub it on the skin, whether it be your scalp, neck or ears that are dyed. This is a common trick for removing hair dye. Make sure to use the regular kind of toothpaste and not the gel. Scrub it in and rinse it out.

2
Use distilled white vinegar to remove hair dye. Soak a towel with the vinegar and rub it into your scalp. There's no need to rub too hard. It should help take some of the dye out.

3
Use skin-cleansing pads if the other options aren't doing it for you. Most brands sell acne-fighting pads that foam when wet. Use a couple of pads on the dyed area.

4
Ask your stylist for a salon product specifically used to remove hair dye if no other methods work for you. These products may be expensive, but they will probably work better for stubborn stains.

Good review. I think if the OP has been coloring her own hair for years and never had this problem, then it's an issue with the product. I've gotten my hair colored professionally and didn't have any discoloration on my skin.

I would definitely try some of Skye's suggestions. In any event, this sounds like something I never want to use. Thanks for warning others.

It's a different type of hair color. There's pastes, creams, liquid, and now foam. ALL have the potential to discolor skin. My color consists of both paste and liquid. It's the liquid that gets my skin, it's so drippy. The OP has never colored her hair with foam before. There is room for error with a new product. Doing it fine for years has no bearing if it's a totally new way of coloring.

I've never used hair coloring, but I just assumed the purpose of the foam was so it would only go where you wanted it to go, and nowhere else. I guess it's not so easy after all.

Good suggestions, Skye.

I color my own too but I use henna and indigo. It is a thick paste and you put it exactly where you need it and it stays put. It is very healthy for your hair and you can color your hair any tone of red of brunette. Your hair does not get dried out or damaged and thrives from the treatment. I highly recommend it. Go to www.hennaforhair.com for all of the information you'd ever want to know about henna.
